I am your same height and I have both.

I rarely use my medium, although I don't want to get rid of it.

I have several larges and use them a lot. I like the way the large drapes when you carry it. I am not a fan of the maxi on me.

I don't have one, but it is the bag I will be getting very soon in a medium. I am 5'4" and I think the medium is perfect for my size, but again, I don't lug a whole lot around with me so I don't need the bigger bag. It may be great for you!

Look in the Bottega in action and you should find some shots. Remember that the nappa will soften and drape to your body, so a large, with some use, will not look so big.

Depends completely on your preference and how much you carry.

I am 5'6" and have a few of the large and one maxi. I like the shoulder drop on the large best. Depends on how much you carry and how "thick" your arm or your arm in a coat is.

Thanks kroquet! I actually spent the whole day and finished browsing the "bottega in action" today! hehehe. But still undecided

By the way, will the medium be the same too? after must use, it'll become smaller?

If I were you, I would go for the large, just for that drape factor. lol

I am 5'5 1/2" and about 125lbs and I love the medium on me. I am not a fan of large bags, tho.

I'd go for the large, but it really depends on your tastes.

For instance, I'm only 5' and anything smaller than a Maxi is too small for me!

What size is this that Reece is carrying around? Isn't she around 5'5"?

Get the large!!! A few months ago, and good friend and I decided to get BV bags. We both did some searching on TPF, and decided the medium was big enough. Placed our orders... then I went to Saks and tried them on in person and the medium was more of a "going out to dinner" bag then an every day bag. I am 5'4, 110lbs and she is about 5'1 and also tiny. We both cancelled our medium bags and are thrilled with the large size. The SA at Saks told me, and I agree, as an every day bag, the medium looks chintzy and like you didn't want to spend a bit more for the large. The medium is nice, but is small.

I think if you're undecided you might be best off with the large. I went through a similar debate when I got my Veneta and ended up getting the medium. And I LOVE it with all the handbag love I have in my heart. But it is not a big bag, and while I carry it on my shoulder all the time, it can get a bit awkward with a heavy coat. I'm 5'4", and I'm not skinny by any means, but I do have relatively small arms and narrow shoulders. I don't usually carry a lot of stuff, but if I need something with more capacity, I have to use something else. I think my next Veneta will be a large.

I'm 5' 5" and large is the best for me. The medium is snug. If you are thin, a medium would work, but IMO the large size is the most versatile and will go over a sweater, light jacket, etc.
