Such a GORGEOUS color..reminds me somewhat of anemone.
I wonder whether the clear plastic trim would age well, or whether it would yellow and crack?

Clear plastic - eesh! I do not know of a pliable weavable clear plastic that is not susceptible to UV damage, yellowing, or cracking. There may be one, but I cannot consider this bag now.

that is one gorgy bag!!!
but
I can't imagine BV using plastic on anything
even the walls in the boutiques are suede
I have never seen any BV with plastic on it

Lots of plastic in this collection..I originally thought this cabat was a beautiful metallic silver, but on the larger shot it seems transparent...you can see the black skirt and skin tones of the leg thru the bag..unless TM has perfected a translucent leather .

Hermes had a see-through bag recently too.

There is some kind of plastic on the bags
and on the ready to wear also

the stores have not gotten their merchandising books yet (gives them all the info) as soon as they do I will know more

did tomas perfect something????/
I can't imagine him putting something in his collections that would yellow with age

I wonder how much the plastic cabat is and wouldn't IT make a great beach bag

That is one gorgeous bag! Love the color.

My SA recently sent me photos of this, but I am not sure which season/collection it is from? I love the skin used on this bag!

Hi Ranag! It looks like lizard, doesn't it? And I think the style is called Tiilna. Need to grab my catalog.

ETA: It is on page 14 of the F/W 2011-21012 catalog. Fire Opal antique lizard fuzzy Tiina bag.

Thank you jburgh! I knew that you would know what it was We recently moved, so I have no idea where I put my catalogs (or anything else for that matter)...lol

I love the bag and the color, but I just don't know if I could get that color to work with my wardrobe. My husband thinks the bag looks like barbed wire - and I told him that is what I loved about it!

From our dear friend bryan

Exceptional new craftsmanship giving our traditional Cabat an exclusive look.
The name Treccia was chosen because of the braids used on our Cabat instead of our traditional fettuccia.
Treccia is the essential element to this Cabat:
- Each braid is made with Plume leather; the thinnest & lightest materials in BV collection.

- The 3 padded fettucce that makes one braid gives it a soft & smooth feeling.

- Very time consuming hand woven process that takes 3 days due to highly skilled craftsmanship to reach an homogeneous effect.

- Significant amount of leather required to make these Cabats: Medium requires 20 pieces of skin and more than 30 for the Large.

Exclusively restyled handles in Soft Crocodile: attachments are underlined by an embossed line and are slightly padded in order to emphasize the tridimensional effect.
Interior pouch & details in Plume Leather.
Velour lining inside pouch.
Brunito finish hardware.

Medium Espresso #29/100 for $16,800 – only 5 pieces for the US

Large Resina #31/100 for $21,800 – only 4 pieces for the US
