Ladies (and gents),

How have your Ottone colored items been wearing over time? Does the metallic come off or rub off or flake off with wear?

Since Ottone is made with goatskin leather which is stiffer, does the leather get significantly softer with wear? How soft compared to "regular" BV leather?

hi Lola, welcome to the ottone sloane club!!!! mine has not been flaking off and YES! the leather softens significantly which made me fall in love all over again with this bag...

Lola, I see you are still trying to decide?

The Ottone Chevre Sloane is heavier, less slouchy and more rigid than my Pergamena Sloane. It has softened up a little but I must say I love the choice of Chevre for the Ottone Sloane. It seems very durable. Also the Ottone coloring is not a completely solid color but rather mottled. It has great depth and keeps the gold from looking too garish. It actually looks like more of a neutral to me. I think the color and leather will wear very well. I have used mine quite a bit already and it looks better now than when I first wore it.

I actually did join the Ottone Sloane club! Your beautiful pictures just made this bag too tempting to resist (even with a $2480 price tag).

I was wondering if you notice any curling of the leather strips with wear? Also do you notice any suede peeking out of the leather --which seems to affect the "normal" softer BV leather?

Honestly, I have not noticed the suede through the weave on either of my Sloanes, no curling either.
