This thread is for all wallet care questions...especially for newbies like me.

Let me start the ball rolling.

As you can see from my pic. the area near the buttonhole seems to 'pop' (for the lack of a better word) out.

I wonder if that is a common problem especially on "high traffic" areas? I just bought this wallet and start using it only yesterday.

PS: My last leather prada wallet lasted me 10 years (still holding well, i just got sick of it), and I am expecting this more expensive purchase to last even longer. Is that too ambitious?

Watch "The Cove"
I just noticed the edge of my zip around fraying, and I do notice puckering in some areas...ive used my LV for 10 yrs and still used it. I guess bv leather is just more delicate.

Gone shopping
I would suggest a purse organizer so that all items stay in place instead of rubbing against each other. Also keys and coins should belong in its own pouch if possible. They are magnets for dirt and quite harsh on leather items when in direct contact.

I was JUST thinking of posing this exact question. Thanks for posting it first!

I am considering a BV zip-around wallet and was wondering about how well the weave and leather would hold up against all the shuffling and shoving around that happens in the black hole that is my purse. I hadn't thought of a purse organizer but it seems like a great idea to save a potentially delicate wallet.

I'm really sorry to hear about the thread that keeps popping out. :( Since it's literally brand new, can you take it back to the boutique to see if they can either solve the problem for you or get you a replacement? With the price tag SHOULD come exceptional customer service.

BV leather is quite delicate (but I just love how soft and supple it is), I've noticed wear and tear on many of my leather goods. I feel that gives it more character in a way. Don't worry too much about it, worst comes to worst you can always just bring it back for repair.
