Default Third model of the Ball bag
I thought I saw a thread on this topic but couldn't find it.

Thanks to the lovely people in BV SF, I got details on the New Ball bag (Ball 3) that's coming in March.

1. The zip top from the Old Ball is back for Ball 3 (I personally love the open top of the New Ball, but I seem to be the only one)

2. The strap will not include hardware rings. BUT, unlike the Old Ball, the strap will be entirely woven (ooh, that sounds gorgeous)

3. The four open pockets of the Old Ball will be on Ball 3.

4. The Ball 3 bag will have a LONGER DROP on the strap. Yee haw, this is a big selling point for me as I can't get the New Ball over a heavy coat.

5. The Ball 3 will be produced in fashion colors! For Spring 2009 it'll be Tea, Cinnamon, and, uh, one other that fell out of my brain.

Price should be close to the current New Ball pricing.

If the drop is long enough, this may replace the Campana at the top of my wish list.

Wow! You know it might take the place of the campana on my wish list too. I'd love to see more BV styles with slightly longer straps for those of us who aren't a size two and have to bundle up in the winter.

That makes two of us. I love the structure of the Ball bag.

I forgot to mention that the Old Ball will probably be discontinued (Ball 3 will replace the Old Ball, or so the rumor goes), so look for deep discounts on the Old Ball when Ball 3 comes out.

That sounds like the perfect ball bag. I almost purchased an old Ball Bag b/c I like the absense of hardware, but wanted something just a little bigger. I ended up getting a Sloane, so maybe this BB3 will be the right one for me.
Thanks for sharing the info!

Thanks for the report! I liked the Old Ball, so this one sounds really great, too.
