This sounds really interesting! Thank you for the info. Now I am going to be tempted on two counts: a discounted Old Ball (which I have tried and know I like) or a tea new New Ball (which sounds gorgeous!).

Great news! I have a classic ball and I love it but a longer woven strap would make it perfect.

Hope they eventually make the Ball #3 in classic colors!

Hmmm, does this mean my old Ball bag is fairly worthless when #3 comes out?? I can see not having 3 versions, though.

boxermom - I'm sure there will be those who love the original Ball. I am still torn between 2 ( currently called "new ball") and number 3 myself.

leilani - I think Ball 3 *will* be in classic colors!

boxermom - All of us who own the classic ball could call it "vintage" after March 2009. Vintage has a nice ring to it....

Will they continue making the new ball ( ball 2 ) with the clasp closure? i really like this better than the new new ball. the pockets in the new new ball a tad small for me.
