Foxie-pooh, thank you for the update with photos. I love posts like this! As you know, I bought this bag (in the small/Asia size) after hearing feedback from you and others who also have the platino ossidato Cabat. "Slouchy, yet sturdy" is just what I want, so I'm so pleased that you describe yours this way. I hope mine will age as well as yours has!

I can't really tell for sure...the black markings have not changed at all, but the slight slivery color of the handle loop is consistent with the the woven part that has not been hand painted with the black dye...so I guess it's the dusting of the black dye that has been rubbing? My other guess is that the wear is caused by my lotion/sweat/sunscreen, but I can't confirm. Eitherway, I think the bag will look better with wear and age, afterall that's how Maier wants us to use the bag isn't it?
