Can someone tell me the difference between ebano and moro? I have a new roma in moro and I thought the dark brown of moro is basically the same as ebano.
Thanks Bagsr'us |

![]() i saw both in real life at BV.. ebano is a lovely rich chocolate color that you dont need any further inspection to determin its brown.. while moro is a very dark chocolate sometimes u have to give it a closer look in certain light to know it belongs to the brown family and not black. i always differ between them like this: ebano is milk choco.. while moro is dark choco. both taste yummy however ![]() hope this helps! |

Moro – brown black (a brown so deep it’s almost black). In chocolate terms, Ebano has 75% cocoa, Moro 95% cocoa. Congrats on your Moro Roma. Pls post pics. |

Thanks to Vanilla Addict and Ms. Piggy for the explanation of Moro and Ebano. I actually thought it was the other way around-- ebano being the dark dark brown. I have a miu miu belt that I bought from Saks that was described as ebano and it is a brown black.
BTW, I got the BV Roma all because Queenie suggested I look at BV. I was brand new to tbf at the time and I was really confused about what to buy. I had seen BV when I was visiting a friend in Boston and saw a few in the Boston Saks store.I just love the bag and got an incredible deal on it. I don't know how to take pics w/ my cell phone and my DH and DD are not home Sorry. Thanks again |

I thought Moro was the Umbria version of Ebano, hence the darker color.
The texture is also thicker, and yes darker. I've put some swatches below. Notice the darker color, but also, the texture.
