Oh no! File a chargeback with your credit card company if you don't hear from the boutique within a few days (after the Labor Day weekend, of course). File with the BBB too, since that's what iluvhandbags (the OP of the other thread) did. Maybe two reports of the same type within a month of each other will help spur the BBB into further action too, or prioritise this case on their end.

I'd try my best to follow through with the chargeback and sending the bag back to them, TBH, rather than looking into fixing it. From iluvhandbags's thread alone, it's clear that Jessie Boutique's CS is abysmal and that they're thoroughly unprofessional, not giving a s**t that they're selling damaged bags without disclosure of any sort on their site. They don't deserve to keep your hard-earned money, even if you got a substantial discount on the bag. If you do attempt to fix the discolouration, Lovin My Bags is usually highly recommended for handbag restoration, but they can be very pricey, and you shouldn't have to pay to fix a so-called brand-new bag, y'know?

Good luck with this! I really hope you and iluvhandbags can get your money back from Jessie Boutique, as that store really has shown themselves to be atrocious and unprofessional, sending out damaged bags and (in iluvhandbags's case, at least) claiming there's nothing wrong. Horrible!

ETA: Oh, and I'm not sure if this might help, but perhaps you should print out or show pictures of iluvhandbags's thread and bag when you file with your CC company and the BBB? (Or possibly even get directly in touch with iluvhandbags so you can exchange original pics of your bags, and possibly scans of your receipts as well. I'm not too sure if that might help, so this is just a suggestion! ) It may bolster your case if you show that this isn't the first time the store has sent out a damaged bag with no disclosure of the damage! HTH!

Has there been any word or success with a chargeback yet?

I did end up getting my money back for this purchase. I ended up buying a purple James Satchel somewhere else to make up for the bad experience. I actually like the james bag better.

Oh, I'm so glad to hear that!!! I'm glad you managed to find another Botkier to love too... The purple leather is definitely wonderful, and I love the James too! Congrats!
