Which is probably the exact reason why Botkier won't do it. After establishing itself as a sleek, sexy and exclusive brand, the last thing Botkier would want to do is sink down to what Coach is doing. Let's face it, even when it comes to distribution-Botkier's authorized outlets are either major upscale stores(Bergdorf's, Barneys, Neiman's...) or high-end specialty boutiques.
Coach is well...you can go into most any po'-dunk mall and snag yourself a Coach...and that's probably why Botkier won't do what "even Coach is doing".

I think I mentioned this before but even Balenciaga which cost $1200 and up have a plain black cotton lining. There's nothing wrong with a plain lining as long as you love the bag.

I have a brown Botkier Trigger with a very boring nylon brown lining. I love my RM's and their stripes or my MJ old school Blake with it's turquoise suede inside. I agree, a dark lining makes it hard to find things! I'd love a brown Trigger with a bright blue lining...I don't see how colorful interiors aren't "classy," but that's just me. Only I know what color the inside of my bag is!

There seems to be a lot of Coach hate. Sure, they're common and safe. But, I still love my Teal Lindsay with it's light blue satin lining!

I love suede lining (MJ, Gryson), I didn't know that Botkier used to do this. Too bad she stopped doing it. I don't mind the plain lining that's in my Botkier, I think it fits the bag.

I only own one Botkier (Kai hobo) so I can't compare to the older Botkier bags, but the leather on my bag really is amazing. My husband thought I was so strange because I kept "petting" the bag. Then I told him to touch the bag and even he agreed that the leather is incredibly soft!

I prefer Botkier to RM. The leather is thicker and softer, the zipper glides smoother. Call me crazy, but I love a boring black lining. I do like RM. However, I got my first Botkier a couple months ago and I haven't carried my RMs since.

Well, since we're talking about linings, LOL... I have two bags by Kale and Kale bags are lined with a gorgeous fuschia suede and it's beautiful! This line is classic and extremely well made. They're having a SS09 sale starting at noon EST tomorrow at http://thesavvy.com/index.php?o=splashpage!

My large cherry Bianca has the light beige suede lining and it's beautiful! My two Gryson bags also have suede linings. These bags though are older and both lines no longer do suede. I'm thinking to lesson production costs.

I have five Botkier bags now and in less than one month will have accumulated five RM bags too. My Botkier collection started off normally, I loved the line and eventually had a collection of them. I had one RM a couple of years ago and had quality issues. I thought I was done with RM until I recently fell in lust with a sea green MAB. I just loved the classic, simple style and the pretty signature hardware, then a few days later, I found a steal on a black cat MAB. Then, the OSS happened and I decided I needed a MAC in my collection so I ordered it, got it and loved it and had to have it in two additional colors! The RM bags still have issues, feet falling off, handles breaking... but, I still love those two styles and really love that you can buy them each season in different colors and leathers.

I've had one beautiful Botkier for almost two years and haven't carried her yet but I will soon. My RM's, I started carrying almost as soon as they were delivered so that any issues will be detected sooner rather than later.

The Biancas still have suede lining, don't they? Admittedly, the ones I've been seeing recently (on Botkier.com and I think Revolve had them too) are probably the older ones, so who knows if the Bianca will still have suede lining if/when they're reissued.

The lighter fabric lining (e.g. in the purple, cocoa, caramel, yellow, orange, etc bags) is still pretty easy to find stuff in, though. I definitely prefer that to the RM blue and white stripe lining, and even the grey and white stripe lining kinda looks blah compared to the black and white floral lining.

^ I just looked at Botkier.com and the two Bianca's both are lined in suede but the other bags aren't? Maybe the Bianca was the only Botkier lined in suede?

Seems like no one really likes the RM striped lining... I like it though but I do have weird bag habits, LOL!

See, that's why I'm thinking all of Botkier's bags were lined in suede but the new ones aren't anymore. It's confusing about those Bianca's on their site though as they have suede linings. Are Bianca's still made with suede linings or, are the Biancas on the site just old?

^ It's probably because the ones on the site are old, TBH! I don't think the Bianca was in the Fall 2008 season, and it definitely wasn't in the Spring 2009 one, so it's quite possible that the reason why they have the suede lining is because they're older. The only other place I'd been seeing leather Biancas with suede linings was on Revolve, IIRC, which typically does have older bags since they don't drop prices all that often. Otherwise, the nylon Biancas all seem to have fabric linings too.

The weird thing is that I haven't really noticed many older bags with suede linings on the likes of ebay. It's quite possible I'm just not looking at the "right" styles (I usually click on listings for Triggers and maybe Sashas), but I think I've mostly seen fabric-lined Botkiers on ebay. Did they go from fabric to suede and then back to fabric?

Hey Guys! Thanks for paying attention to the details... Please let me clear up the confusion. Bianca always had suede lining and anytime we bring her out of retirement she will have suede lining. (The Crosby styles also had suede). That said we usually stay away from suede these days because it really does add unnecessary weight to the bag. We like sticking to our simple and clean logo fabric linings which are also easier to clean should you happen to get it dirty with makeup, pens, or a forgotten Hershey's Kiss:)
Hope this helps xoxo Monica
