I just got my first Botkier, a rose hobo in cherry. I love it but it has a few scratch marks on it. Can anyone recommend a good leather conditioner? I tried some Coach leather conditioner on the inside and it seemed to dry darker so I'm not sure if I should use it on the outside of the bag. The braided strap also feels a little flimsy to me and I'm afraid to put a lot in the bag because I don't want it to brake. If someone else who has the bag could let me know how their bag has held up I would really appreciate it!

Try Apple Leather Care conditioner - you can get it at www.leatherstuff.com, and they even have a 20% coupon floating around in the Deals and Steals subforum right now. It is gentler than Coach's, and it does not contain silicones either, which can keep leather from "breathing".
I have a cherry Bianca that I used it on - it darkened slightly as I was conditioning it, but it dried to the original color. Just use the Apple sparingly, and make sure to put in on a soft cloth and then buff it on, rather than pouring it directly onto the leather. HTH! |

I also have a cherry bag that I was wondering about conditioning. I might have to buy some of the apple conditioner now

Thanks greenpixie! Would you also recommend using some kind of waterproofing spray?
