In 2009, I actually bought my first Botkier (bought it new). It was a Marcel satchel in an ivory color (it has bronze metallic contrast accents). I LOVED LOVED LOVED the design of the bag, but the material was a lamb leather with a pearl sheen applied over it...like a glaze, but with a pearl finish. Before I even took the tags off, literally just from having the handles of an empty bag draped over a hook on the back of my door, the pearl glaze part started peeling off the handle! It was peeling like the way sunburned skin does...if you touched the edge, it wanted to peel off like a big sheet. I have to say, I was seriously disappointed.
