These typically have the best leather. Good luck!
I completely agree with this. I have a black Trigger from this vintage and the leather and lining have held up beautifully. The pix show the texture of the leather really well.

I don't know much about Botkier, but a friend says that they are great casual bags with nice leather. Does this one look good?

Thank you!

Best to wait for our Trigger people to chime in, but three pictures aren't much to go on. The shape/leather look off to me, and the seller has never sold anything before. I would be cautious on this one.

Sarahsar is right, this isn't much to go on picture-wise. BUT, the botkier logo plate has pretty classic Botkier wear on it (the gold tone rubs off, leaving silver metal with little gold areas around the screws). That's not enough alone to guarantee authenticity, but it is a good sign

Oh, and also, it is missing a tassel and strap, so I'm not sure about that (and the leather quality is hard to see from these photos). We definitely need to see more pics!

She did mention in the listing that it is missing the strap and the tassel. She just sent two more pictures....

Hope that didn't sound short! I meant to say "She did mention the missing items in the listing, so that's good. She's not trying to hide it."

Sometimes typewritten things can "sound" so harsh!

No worries, I know what you meant!
My gut is telling me this is authentic (based on the botkier logo plate, the texture of the inner lining, and variation in the leather from the front pebbled panel to back smooth panel), but I'm not a specialist with this particular style. I also checked her other feedback and she has sold another designer bag with positive feedback. How do you feel about the seller? Sometimes that's a good indication of authenticity.

Thank you for the grace!

You know, I will say that she didn't seem like she had anything to hide which is always the most important. She followed through in sending pictures and was very straightforward in her replies, not defensive when I asked questions.

I did win the auction so we'll find out soon enough! I'll take more pictures when it comes in and we'll see what we've got. If it is authentic (and my gut kind of says the same thing given everything) I will be one very happy person.

I wanted a squishy soft dark leather bag for Fall and a friend said that she loved her Trigger so I'm excited. It will be my first Botkier!

That bag is authentic. I forget the style name, but I had the same one. It was made in Italy before they started production in China.
