Hi,

I just bid and win a botkier bag on eBay and a bit concerned about authenticity now.

I have not received the bag yet.

Could anyone please verify its authenticity? Thanks a million.

I think this is okay, but I'm not great with Triggers. Hopefully one of the Trigger girls will chime in.

Thanks Sarahsar! I also contacted the seller but didn't get a satisfying answer. He just told me to take it to the store and they would confirm authenticity... Good to know that it's not a fake but think I'll return it. Thanks again!

Hi girls, hope you can help me!!! I just bought this bag from ebay and have recieved it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...lenotsupported

It is obviously an older botkier. What worries me is that the zip pocket inside the main compartment is just a plain white metal zipper and it does not say YKK like the zippers on the outside. The studs on the handles look a little out of line too. The outside zippers open to a suede compartment which is strange b/c the inside lining is canvas. I know that some of the older bags had canvas lining WITHOUT "botkier" all over. What do you think?

Would really really appreciate your help!

The things that you're talking about aren't really visible in those pictures. Does the bag you got look like that bag? I agree that suede in one place and canvas in another is odd. Hopefully our Trigger experts will take a look.

You know, I looked at buying this Trigger myself, but didn't because in the photos on the eBay listing, it is clear that there is no snap closure at the two secret compartments in the front & back of the bag (look where the metal Trigger logo tag is), which to my knowledge, should be there. They are just little magnetic circular closures. I may be wrong on this point, but that to me was a red flag. However, since yours is a VERY old version of the Trigger (I can tell because in newer triggers, the Botkier logo is by the main zipper, not one of the secret compartments), it may be that this season did not have circular closures. I wouldn't deem it a fake based on that alone.

You mention suede in the outside zipper compartments -- are you referring to the pockets that are on the very front of the bag with zippers and tassles? If so, mine are also suede... these are kind of pseudo-pockets that don't have much of a function I've found. The very inside zipper on mine is also a plain metal zipper with no YKK on it and little plastic teeth, so no concern here.

Ultimately, after looking only at those photos on the listing, I would say it APPEARS to be real, my only concern being the circular closures that are missing from the secret compartments. Like I said, that may be a feature of an older bag that I'm not entirely familiar with.
I checked the toolhaus for the seller and it appears good. No history of selling fakes, so you're probably OK. Hope that helps and doesn't just concern you further!!

It's real, but it's not the duffle. I can't remember exactly what the style is. They call it a tote in the listing. At any rate, it's a different style from the Sasha duffle, but it real.

I'm new to Botkier, so I'm not sure about how to tell authentic.
I don't know - is there counterfeit Botkier's?

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...lenotsupported

Is this the Sasha with the two handles, or is this something different?

TIA!
