Hi, I hope this trhead is still working? I just purchased a botkier Trigger, medium in black. When I got the bag I became unsure if its authentic. The linen is in light purple, and inside the bag itīs a regular zip not lebeld with Botikers loggo. The leather is not as soft as I portrayd and quite pebbed. I fund i similar on e-bay that has the same linen an the leather looks the same.

Is this authentic?

I'm sorry - I'm not good with Triggers, so hopefully someone else will chime in, but those pictures really do not show the interior at all, which makes it hard to authenticate. That interior purple color doesn't look like any Botkier I have seen, but again, if this is an older Trigger, I am not going to be the person to give you answer.

Hi, The seller says that she but it from Barneys in New york a caple of years ago. She claims that its authentic and refuse to take the bag back. The Trigger bags I seen seems to have more soft leather and less pebbed. Does any one know if the erlier collections of Trigger came in a harde leather and hade light purple linen?

I have a very early trigger, actually from the first generation that was produced... the leather is very very very grainy/pebbled, but also quite soft (lambskin, but not the typical smooth type). It has tab pulls though instead of tassels and a brown linen lining (not botkier embossed).
I looked at the photos, and I am by no means an expert, but it does look a tad questionable However, Botkier is known to change the type of leather from season to season and the color/fabric of the linings was changed in the first few seasons of trigger production, so if this is an earlier trigger, you may be in luck. The leather will probably soften up with use. As for the zipper, the inside zipper on my early Trigger is also unlabeled (and I'm certain of its authenticity), it's a regular YKK pull tab zipper. Hope this helps!

Botkier did make a light purple linen bag with gold leather -it was sold at calypso celle in soho. Botkier makes limited edition bags given to certain stores and to its friends and family

The interior details look fine, but I'm not as familiar with the style of the bag to say for sure about the exterior. Any Ziggy owners out there?

Hi again, Now Im confused! I came acrosse a similare trigger bag as my own on e-bay. "Trigger bag black metallic purchased at Barnys New York" with purple linen. The seller that I purchased from claims she but the bag at Barneys. Perhaps my bag is authentic after all?

It could be, although it's hard to tell much from the listing since there are no pictures to compare. Pictures would help.

It's hard to tell without photos of the inside, but, I will say that the above bag is definitely a different season than the one you purchased because it has the tab pull outside zippers, not the tassels like yours. It's possible that they both have purple linen interiors, but usually the early season tab pull variety will not have the Botkier logo stamped linen, like yours. I don't know if this makes any difference, but just wanted to throw that out there

Default AUTHENTICATE THIS BOTKIER MORGAN (please!!)
Hi! I am new here at the purse forum. I am in love love love with this botkier morgan:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=160339711963

but the deal seems just too good to be true! I emailed the seller and asked about authenticity and why the bag was so cheap, and this was the repsonse that i got (via blackberry 5 minutes after my message):

"Hi there!! I bought this bag directly from Botkier and have the receipt to prove it. I never buy or sell fakes (just look at my feedback). Anyway, just got it on sale and am passing the savings onto you . I hope that helps!! : )
Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T"

at least it doesn't seem to be coming form a huge conglomerate replica seller in china! what do you guys think? too good to be true or the real deal?? thank you so much!
