I don't own a trigger, but the botkier plate, dustbag and the slight sheen on the leather all look right. The only thing keeping me from saying a definite yay is the fact that I don't own one. I'm fairly certain though

What do you all think of this bag? Is this authentic?

I'm so sorry I didn't get back to you in time before the listing ended, but I think just as well. The bag in the listing looks fine, but her feedback... well:

http://toolhaus.org/cgi-bin/negs?Use...ed+by&ref=home

Seems that she has a few 'not as described' and fake bag complaints.

It just occured to me that perhaps you're the one who bought this? If so, please, please print out her listing right now while it's still up with the pictures in case the item you receive is not right.

Thanks - I will have to keep a close eye on this. I looked at several of her other recent auctions for designers I'm more familiar with and they looked okay, and on the plus side she does give a lot of pictures, but I'm pretty new to Botkier. I hope it turns out okay!

I actually think Botkier fakes are hard to come by as of yet. I've only seen one bianca fake so far, my primary concern is that the bag may be very used? Printing out the listing just ensures you can file a not as described complaint if it comes down to that, but I think the item would be authentic.

Thanks, that's good advice.

I'd ask for more pics:

1. close up of the botkier plate
2. close up of the authenticity card
3. front on view of back and bottom of bag
4. close up of front of bag, anywhere, to see the grain of the leather better.

What do you all think of these Sasha duffles?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=016

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWA:IT&ih=015

I'm a little concerned about the first one because it says it is a private listing with the user IDs kept private. I'm not sure if that should be a red flag or not.

I really want to find a Sasha duffle, but I just can't stomach the high price most are asking now. Not after my recent handbag buying spree! Is there any good place to look for deals on Botkier?

As for the first one, I can't tell if her pictures are watermarked stock pictures or not. Anyone else?

The second one looks authentic to me. Looks just like mine There is a tread on Handbags and Purses about this, but I think they changed the leather this season to be stiffer, so it might be worth going for the second one, from a prior season.

I can't decide for the first one... they don't look like stock photos that much... i'm very undecided.

I also say go for the second one... prior season ones have better leather, like drdreawisc said.

Just posting some follow-up about this bag that I asked about earlier (the Sasha satchel in glass), since there were some questions about the seller and what type of condition the bag would be in:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ayphotohosting

It arrived today and actually looks very good. There was a tiny blue ink mark on the bottom, but otherwise it's in really excellent condition. I don't know a lot about Botkier, but it seems to be a beautiful, authentic bag. The glass is such a neat color.

My question for you all is - there is a leather tag on the inside that says "Made in Indonesia." Is that correct? Also, should there be a serial number anywhere? There is no authenticity card with the bag, which I didn't expect there to be, but I wondered if there are any other things I should check for authenticity.

And finally, it's a much smaller bag than I thought it would be. Not in a bad way - actually, probably a good thing given that it's more of a hand-carry than a shoulder bag with the short drop length. It reminds me of the size/style of a doctor bag. But it does make me think . . .maybe the Sasha duffle isn't as huge as I was thinking and maybe I can justify it as being something I can use as more than carry-on luggage?

Sorry to go off-topic - I just think I'm becoming a bit of a Botkier fan. These really are such lovely bags!

Disclaimer - I am not a Botkier expert by any means, but lninos has a very good reputation for authentic bags, at least for Kooba. I am always checking out her auctions because she has a lot of great stuff and have never seen anything suspicious. That seller has been recommended to me by several people.
