^^I am not as familiar with the older Botkier styles, but the leather and nameplate look good to me.

I am going to feel so silly purchasing one yesterday with a tear in the seam (for a good price) if this new one goes for this (even better) price:

I agree with the other assessment that it looks good. The first picture looks like it could be a stock photo, but the other pictures look okay.

What do I look for . . . quality of the leather (fakers rarely get this right), details on the hardware, nameplates, zippers, the lining, and the similarity of these things to ones I know are real from the same season.

I also think it's very important to look at the seller's feedback, including running their name through Toolhaus.org, but even better is to look at what they've sold and see if they've sold other designer bags and if those look real (you can see the pictures still if the listings are recent enough). There are some sellers I very much trust for Botkier because they consistently sell the real deal time and time again.

For good price, it's all relative. I would use Advanced Search to look at what they have gone for recently (search with the completed items only box checked). I know there are several of that bag on eBay right now with varying prices. The price on the bag you asked about looks reasonable. Personally, I don't like to pay more than what I would if I bought the bag from places like Active Endeavors, J.C. Madison (they have a handbag sale today actually), or Revolve Clothing using a coupon (there are always 20%, 25%, and often even 30% off coupons available). With those places you often get free shipping and can return the bag without as much hassle. So for me to consider it a good deal, I want it to be better than that.

Now, that may not apply if it's a style that isn't available anymore. Then it really is what the market will bear. What I have learned recently after buying a _lot_ of bags on eBay is that the bag I thought I would never find again usually does come along at a price I want to pay if I'm patient.

Edit: I was going to PM you the names of some sellers, but I guess you can't get PMs yet. Hopefully it's okay to post names. I have personally bought from lninos and sunnyrayz1, and both are great sellers of authentic, BNWT stuff and easy to work with. I have also noticed that hautechick1 sells authentic stuff, but I have never bought from that seller. I got a nice used Bianca from alison580969, who seems to mostly sell used stuff. One of those new chocolate Biancas is from shewolfy, a regular TPFer who is great. Her BIN is a little higher than the one you are looking at, but there is a best offer option on that particular bag, so maybe she would take less.

Disclaimer - I'm sure there are lots of other good sellers, but those are ones I have personally worked with or have noticed in my eBay watching. Good luck! Let us know what you get!
