Do you think you can share your thoughts with some spoiler space? I'm on the fence with this one. The cover is strange and I'm not really interested in a heroine addict as a main character. I do like vampire stories though, it's hard to find good ones.

I'm all about happy endings and feel-good-stories. While this is very well written, I felt it very depressing with the heroine addict, prostitution story line... and then the love story is not a happily-ever-after story.... which is what I love reading about. I guess this would be a good vampire story, but definitely not a romance/love story/feel-good book. I hate, hate, hate that she finds her true-love and then he dies. Very Romeo and Juliet. And even his death is very quick and a not very well played out IMO.

After reading the entire series, Kiss The Dead was excruciating. I think I was 70% finished and had to quit. I never do that. I think LKH should just kill Anita now.

I highly recommend Adrian Phoenix's Maker's Song series, A Rush of Wings is the first book. Set in New Orleans the author does such a great job with atmosphere you feel like you're there. Dante is very sexy and the books kept me rivited.

Ah I totally see what you mean. I personally like books which aren't always happy endings with everything tied up, I don't know why, I just see it as being more realistic. The ending of twilight seemed so unbelievable to me. I completely agree that his death could have been developed so much more, although it is written much better than 50 Shades, for example.

You are welcome! I think we share similar tastes in books and if that is really the case, I do not think you would like this one.

I have yet to read this one. I can't stop reading the series because I have to read them all since i started it. I am soooo with you on wishing she would just kill Anita and be done with it. I only enjoyed the first couple of books, the rest I read because I have to know what happens!

Anyone read "Her Dear and Loving Husband"?
It's free on Nook and so is the sequel and they're both amazing vampire stories! Third installment due in spring 2013 (and I really hope the world doesn't end on Dec. 21st because I want to read it!)
