Goodreads members, please "friend" me on Goodreads (link on bottom of post)--I always love seeing what other people are reading/have read/want to read, not to mention what they think about it. Better than reading any newspaper/magazine book reviews!
Added you...I think you're my only friend on there, lol.

No, I didn't know there were any. Looks like I'm off to win some books!

My goal is likely 10 books. I read during my morning and evening commutes on the train, and the books are usually 350-800 pages in length (Paris to the Moon clocked in at just over 350, while In the Eye of the Sun came in at just over 800), so it takes me a few weeks to finish.

I just found this thread
I am usually lurking in the Bottega thread
I am an avid reader
I plan on reading 50 books this year but I will probably surpass this
I don't usually keep track on how many books I read
but since January I have read Hunger Games and 4 other books
right now I am for some reason reading all kinds of young adult books
vampires are us
but at the moment I am in the middle of reading JOE HILL "20th Century Ghosts"
Joe Hill is Stephen and Tabitha King's son
I have decided that the whole family is dark and twisted

Completely off topic but have you read Heart Shaped Box by Joe Hill? It is an awesome book.

Back to topic I would be happy to read about 25 books this year.

And his graphic novel series Locke & Key supports that. So twisted and amazing, love all his work.

Wow all of you are doing really good, I have only managed to read 3 books last year!!
I just can't manage to find the time to sit down with a book, I have to admit I am more of a TV and TPF addict perhaps that's why.
But I will join in and try for 10 this year and see how it goes.
I will be reading on my kindle and I will start with the free books first.

Join goodreads...ever since I joined that site I've been reading a lot more. There's something about seeing all of the suggestions and tracking how much you read that is very encouraging.

I totally agree. I'm addicted to that site. And building up a friends list with similar reading interests and reading their reviews....my to-read list has shot up to 100

Exactly! Just the other day my to-read list was 100, now it's almost 200! It's amazing how quickly you can find books to read. Now if only I had time to read them all. I guess if I spent less time on here...
