I would be in Cusco for a total of 4 weeks which will include the Inca Trail. I have about another 2 and 1/2 weeks to travel around and still undecided where to go after. Galapagos islands sounds fun. or should I just go to Bolivia? Any suggestions? Thank you.

I went to the Galapagos and highly recommend it! I spent a week there and that was just the right amount of time. What about the Amazon rainforest, or go to Lima and see the Nazca lines, or the Ballestas Islands?

Sounds like you're interested more in outdoors/adventure things - Patagonia/lake district in Argentina might be good and if you like to ski/board, SA has already started and amazing winter with some huge dumps. Las Lenas opened early and a great powder day in July - October can be a singular experience!

Second the Galapagos Islands, fantastic wildlife viewing.

Bolivia for some of the best scuba diving.

We just got back back from our Peru vacation, last month. We did Cusco, Sacred Valley, Machu Picchu, and the Amazon rainforest.
We stayed at the Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica, which was very nice, and the tours were phenomenal. We flew from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado and then were taken by boat 1 hour up the river to our lodge. The resorts are in the Amazonian Rainforest but not directly on the Amazon river. Great trip if you are into wildlife. We saw monkeys, cayman, tarantulas, agute(cross between a squirrel and a mouse without a tail), snakes, various birds toucan, macaw, parrots etc.
The Amazon rainforest was definitely the highlight of our trip.

Thank you everyone. This was almost a year ago and now Im planning for a new trip. Anyway, I did 7 weeks total in Peru, did Inca Trail ( i Survived!), also did Lake Titicaca, Arequipa- hiked 2nd deepest canyon in the world, flew to Lima and went to see Islas Balletas, also at Huacachina and did sandboarding.
I love slow travel now! Thanks again everyone.
