Your welcome :) they are both great hotels and great in price too. Very friendly staff and very clean rooms. Hotel Taylor for sure has a shuttle to CDG but I don't know about the second one only because we flew out of ORLY and spent the night in the airport because not even public transportation ran that early. Our flight boarding was at 550am :( Be careful about early flights if you don't want to pay €50 for a taxi.

Hello everyone :)
I'm planning to visit paris in September with my husband for four days, and I'm really confused with choosing a hotel to stay in, right now I'm thinking of concord la fayette, it is reasonable in price and from the room pictures I saw, it looked fine. Has anyone been to it? and would you recommend it? I would also appreciate any other suggestions.
TIA :)

I'm going to Paris in October and I'm staying at hotel west end in champs élysées. This is my first time and was worried about a good hotel but it had great reviews on trip advisor. I've emailed the hotel a couple of times requesting a car pick up from the hotel and they were supper sweet and helpful. Hopefully it will be a good experience when I get there. Good luck!

Think about what area you want to stay in and what you're gonna do in Paris. You're only there for four days so perhaps something closer to the center?

The hotel is fine - I used to stay there for work before I ended up moving to Paris for 2 years. It's your standard 4 star hotel, so the rooms are big enough, good views and the usual amenities. Location wise, it's at the edge of the centre. Not that far from Arc de Triomphe (which is a 10 minute walk away) and less than a minute away from the metro which will get you anywhere.

I guess it just depends on how close to the centre you want to be. If you want to be within walking distance to the major sights and museums, you'll want something in the 1st, 7th or 8th. If you enjoy walking or don't mind taking public transport now and again, the hotel is fine, especially if other hotels are charging way more. It's also very close to Avenue de Ternes and rue de Courcelles which are full of French retail stores like Sandro and Maje, plus good bistros and cafes.

Thanks everybody for your valuable inputs, I really appreciate it :)

Actually we don't want a very luxurious hotel since we are planning to go around the city and explore it all day, kwim? Still we want a decent and calm one. I have read the reviews on trip advisor regarding concord la Fayette, and most reviews stated that the hotel is really old, so we lost interest in it. As for the location, some close friends suggested we stay away from the champs if we are seeking a quite place, and advised we stay in the 6th or 4th arr. (although I really wouldn't mine the champs unless it is too noisy)

We're planning to explore restaurants and cafes, also shopping, it's a short trip and we want to benefit from it as much as possible.

Sorry for the long post. And again I really would appreciate you inputs :)

Consider renting an apartment. I did this last month through airbnb. It was great and much cheaper than a hotel. There are flats at all prices but you can find whole apartments for even 50 per night. :)

When I went to Paris this spring I briefly considered the apartment option. I looked at two sites, but apart that there were few nice apartments available in that period, they did not seem very cheap to me. I think hotels include so many amenities like breakfast, wifi, concierge and what not, a rental apartment does not.

I do not know if it is known in the U.S. this hotel company: http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/bookin...ls-paris.shtml, but there i EU are very popular.
We usually accommodated in their hotels in Europe (but even in Bangkok :)). They have multiple levels of hotel (IBIS, IBIS STYLES, Novotel, Pullman, ETAP, F1 ...) by level of comfort and placing. Everywhere the same quality in the same level of hotel, at an affordable price. They usually have free room and give a variety of special offers.
Specifically I have no experience in Paris with Accor, we accomodate in friends flat, but I suppose it will all be of equal quality. I can reccomend.
