Do you know where you will be staying in NYC? You should stay near the 50's Midtown because that's where Saks, Bergdorf, Henri Bendel and all the famous shops on 5th Avenue are. As for woodbury commons, there are buses that can take you there from Port Authority Bus Terminal. I believe it is about 1.5-2 hours from Manhattan. I just went this past weekend and didn't find much. It is a hit or miss type of place. There are also trains and buses that go to Boston about 4 hours each way, but there are planes that go there too and it takes one hour by plane. Definitely visit Museum Mile in Manhattan which is where all the museums are and show your Student Pass to get discounts. Have Fun!

I just did the SATC tour last week and it was so much fun! I also enjoyed that you can walk a bit around the West Village. I also had a very funny tour guide and she was a blast! Not a single dull moment.

Im trying to decide WHERE to dine before a symphony at Carnegie Hall. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

Both of these are in the Midtown West area in Manhattan.

hmmm...a very short cab ride would be Hell's Kitchen (name of restaurant and name of location) which is amazing and also China Grill which is in the 50's but a little bit further East. It's great. If you want to stay West I would try Hell's Kitchen...it's great!

There's one called Spice downtown near NYU it's very good. Also Tangra in Sunnyside Queens is one my favorites.
