Default Who likes to Cruise? And where have you been?

So I was wondering who on TPF likes to go on cruises! Personally cruising is my favorite style of vacationing. You get to see so many places and go on so many tours - plus you dont worry about food and can wear some nice dresses to show off!
We have been on many cruises, this august planning a short cruise to Caribbean and hopefully soon in the future Asia - that is my dream!!
It would be nice to hear your stories!!

I went on a cruise to Alaska with my parents 4 years ago (I was 10 then) and it was really boring for me. I think I would have enjoyed it much more now that I'm a few years older. I've been on one other cruise. 14 nights I think..it might have been 13. We left from San Diego, stopped in Hawaii several times and Mexico before coming back to CA. I had so much fun on this and I didn't get sick at all. We went with another family and they have two daughters that I am friends with. I loved it, a really great experience and I would love to go on another cruise!

I love to cruise....DH hates it :(

I have been to Mexico, Bahamas, and Alaska...all pre DH. All were fab! But I can't convince him.

This summer will be first time i am travelling with DH, before it was always with parents! I am sure he will love it - but i am trying to have EVERYthing organized in advance so we have minimum of surprises:) I am planning to book tours in advance so that we dont have to think about it later! I think once he goes he will always want to go again!

My family loves to cruise. We always do either Christmas or New Year's - Eastern Caribbean on either princess, royal carib, or celebrity. This past year, we brought BF and he had a great time. This is an easy vacation for us because we live in South Florida so we just grab a car service for the ride to the docks (probably why we always do this instead of flying somewhere). We have also done Alaska and will be doing the Med itinerary next summer (a year from July) with a week or two in Italy either before or after.

I've been on one cruise, just to the Bahamas. It was pretty nice (the Bahamas, not the cruise ship). Maybe one day I'll go somewhere else with a better cruise line.

DH and I have been on 1 cruise and it was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. We went on a 2 week Meditterranean cruise.
I dream about taking that same cruise almost daily, and it was almost 5 years ago that we went!!

I've never been interested before in take a cruise vacation, but I recently saw a special on the Travel Channel that made me feel "comfortable" with the idea of a cruise!!! So, one of these days, I might book a short cruise to start off with and then try a longer cruise later on!!!

We're likely moving to Miami next year, and I'm hoping we can take a short weekend cruise, just to see if we'll like it! Would love to do an Alaskan cruise!

I've been on Alaskan cruise last summer - It is a MUST see!! so beautiful!! And i love longer cruises - it seems like 7 days is too short:( If anyone planning on mediteranean cruise make sure you have 14 days at least - there is just so much to see!!

Oooooooo. Loved it. Hubby and I went on NCL and it was the best. The vacation started right when we got on the ship in NY instead of flying to Florida. Shows were great. Food was great. The prices was right(got balcony rooms). We would do it again.
It was from NY to Florida, Bahamas.

I've been on 4: Mexican Riviera, Eastern Caribbean, and Western Caribbean x2. It was fun the first time, I suppose, but now I find it terribly boring. There's nothing for me to do on days we're not in Port and I don't particularly enjoying socializing with other people on the cruise.

I heard that they have a different approach on NCL - is it a very relaxed atmosphere? I love formal nights though - always gives me a chance to get a new dress:)

I like having occasional sea days - allows me to read a book without distraction for a little bit!:)

My husband and I cruise once or twice a year and have 12 cruises under our belt. We even got married on a cruise ship last year and had the family's most memorable wedding. What can I say? We're cruising fools!

We've been to the Caribbean several times, Mexico, and Canada. In the plans... a cruise to Alaska and another in the Mediterranean.
