go on the TSA website, but you can bring up to I think 3oz containers now (it may be 2 oz though can't remember) that must be maintained in a quart size zip lock bag. So you can't have a container larger than 3oz and you can't carry on more than what will fit in that zip lock. Exceptions are prescription and non-prescription items that you need for medical type purposes, you must declare that you have them but they do not have a fit in the zip lock and they do not have an ounce restriction. Keep in mind you can still bring solid lipstick, soap, deodorant that do not fall into the liquids and gels category so it's really not that bad. I just did a full 10 day trip with all carryon.

The last time I flew (late April) I had liquids packed into my checked luggage. Stuff like peroxide, which I use for cuts, lotion, etc., in bottles of various sizes. The staff will just open your bags and check if they want to.

If I remember correctly, you can't have containers of liquid larger than 2 fluid ounces on the plane, in your carryon bags. This is for like, mouthwash, hand sanitizer, etc. And then we had to put this kind of stuff in little ziplock bags and put it in a separate plastic tray to go through security.

I pretty sure its under 3oz in a ziplock bag for your carryon only. Checked luggage doesn't apply. I packed all my hairspray, shampoo, and conditioner in my checked luggage( i wrapped it all in literally 4 plastic bags in case of spillage). When we were leaving St Lucia the woman at the security stand took my lip gloss, mascara, and eyeliner and said they needed to be wrapped so she took them and said I couldn't have them on the plane. I was livid! Just be careful and put everything in the bag in case you get a jerk at security.
