Pat is correct, there are tons of golf courses here as well as tons of restaurants.
I have heard of the name of the hotel that you're staying in, but I don't know anything about it.
Here are some of the highlights and feel free to pm me if you need directions to anything.
Shows (I have been to all of these)
Alabama Theatre
Dixie Stampede (Dolly Parton's place)-they serve dinner too
Carolina Opry
Palace Theatre
Medieval Times - they serve dinner too
Shopping (nothing high end)
Tanger Outlets - there are 2 (1 in N. Myrtle Beach and one Myrtle Beach on #501).
Coastal Grande Mall
Colonial Mall
The Market Common - this is new, but I wasn't overly impressed.
Barefoot Landing - several little shops, just across in N. Myrtle Beach
Broadway at the Beach - several little shops, restaurants and bars located in Myrtle Beach.
Hard Rock Theme Park just opened, but I haven't been there yet.
Alligator Adventure - they have different animals. I have been to this as well. I have taken family there. It's okay, but a little pricey.
There are a few water parks here as well, if you're interested in that.
Some good restaurants
Rioz - Brazilian Steak House
Ruth's Chris - Steak House
Collector's Cafe
Thoroughbred's
The Melting Pot
Landry's
Liberty Steak House
Liberty Bar and Tap Grill
Tripp's
Rossi's
Carolina Roadhouse
California Dreaming
Burro Loco's
We have all the usual other restaurants, Max and Erma's, Gordon Biersch, Fuddrucker's, River City Cafe, Red Robbins, Friendly's, Steak and Shake. Tons of fast food places.
Lots of things on the beach. Jet Ski's, para-sailing, banana boat rides, wave runners.
I'm probably leaving out plenty. Just the site for Myrtle Beach vacationers and let me know if I can help with anything else.
Have a great time..
