Default Vegas for New Years
We're in the process of booking a trip to Vegas for New Years but I have a few questions before we finally book.

Is there any hotel that would be funner than another to stay at? We're all early-mid 20s and want to party.

Realistically when is the best time to book? We're ready now and we're worried that everywhere will be sold out if we wait too long, which I'm sure is a stupid idea but I panic lol.

Thanks in advance!

I can recommend a great restaurant for New Years. The Top of the World restaurant at the the Stratosphere hotel is wonderful. The restaurant revolves completely every 80 minutes, to give you a 360 degree view of Vegas. We had dinner there a few years ago on New Years Eve and the views of the strip and the fireworks was unbelievable.

Make sure your hotel is reachable by walking from the strip. We stayed outside strip 2 years ago and since the road is closed, we have to wait until 2-3am to go back to our hotel :(

Here's an article on Vegas clubs for New Year's Eve parties, if it helps any!

If you want to party and be with the younger crowds, stay at The Palms. It's off the stip, but only a block away from it. It's got tons of clubs, and all the younger crowd go there. Especially celebrities..

Thanks for the tips! We've been looking at the Palms but we're finding it hard to get a room. I don't know if it's because they're booked already or because it's too soon right now. I think I'll give them a call this week.

Thanks for the article!

Can't go wrong with the Bellagio (Prive Nightclub inside), Ceasars (Pure Nightclub and Poetry Nightclub inside), the the Wynn (Tryst inside).

I'ma bumpity-bump this thread up! Has anybody got any other suggestions for NYE this year? I suggested this evening to my bf that we go to either Vegas or NYC to celebrate New Years since it also happens to coincide with our 7 year anniversary but am unsure on which would be the better place to be in? I've only been to Vegas (bf has been to NY and Vegas) and I think it's the greatest place on earth so all suggestions are welcome!

I personally do not like Tao...they are pretty strict with the guy/girl ratio and I've seen girls get in with flip flops over a group that has a couple of guys in it =\ The hottest club in Vegas right now is definitely XS at The Encore...I was there on Halloween night and the line was insane!! Unless you have the right connections, you'll have to wait and pay at least $20 for girls and $30-50 for guys. I've been there around 3 times in the past few months and the price always seems to vary for guys, I don't know why!

^^ OMG.. we were in line for XS on Halloween night too... I agree, the line was ridiculously long so we ended up leaving. when we got up closer, we noticed they changed the admission from $30 to $50, and some of my friends didn't think it was worth it to pay that much if we weren't even guaranteed to get in for awhile longer. We went to Tao just before midnight, and it was pretty easy to get in by then. Before that, the line at Tao was insane too.

I really wanted to check out XS as well, but we figured we'll go another time... my friend's cousin was able to get in, but he had some kind of connection... he went with a group of 30 or something and they went much later than we did. We should have gone with those guys!
