Went to Printemps website and no good pix to show you. But printemps also has a stained glass dome like Galeries Lafayette.

Found this pix on Flickr, hope that helps!!!

Yes. They got it wrong on flickr. Printemps is in three different buildings, one of which has a stained glass cupola, but the layout is like a Macy's or an old Frederick and Nelson's, with the open floor plan on each level with the escalators/elevators running through the middle.

Here is a photo I took inside at Christmas time one year of GL:

I'm heading to Paris this Saturday. Should I visit both Printemps and Galeries Lafayette?

YES! Lasagna at the cafeteria on the top level at GL, and macaroons from Laduree at printemps. Btw, I'm about to go eat lunch. Can you tell?

Looks to me like it's Galleries Lafayette. And it's not a mall, it's a fabulous department store. Just thinking about it makes my beat faster!

Yes, you have to visit.

If you are not European, you can get a discount card at the information desk on the ground floor (you need proof of citizenship, so you'll need your passport). It's good for 10% off most of the store - boutiques like Chanel, Vuitton, etc. are excluded.

And after you buy all your goodies, go to the detaxe section to get the paperwork to drop off at the airport on your way home to get the VAT back!!!
