Default Paris Nightlife

Hello! I was wondering if you guys had some suggestions for:
  1. Cool Jazz Club. Some place that serves drinks.
  2. A nice dinner/lounge/bar combo place. For the NY'ers I'm looking for something close to Spice Market. Or for the Miamians something close to Tantra, Opium, Bed, etc. We'd like to eat dinner but also have a nice lounge like atmosphere that offers dancing or at least good music.

I'm in my late 20's and my husband in his 30's so we'd prefer not to stand in line at some new "hot" disco club or be in a place where everyone barely 21. We like a mix.

Any suggestions you can offer is much appreciated.

My suggestion, even though I haven't been to Paris for one year is going to Budha Bar. You NEED to book in advance for dinner and then it turns into a bar. Food is nice and music is really vibrant after 12..lots of people go just for drinks but the door policy is strict if you are not local. I would suggest dinner at 9.30 earliest so that you don't get bored by the time it gets lively. Food is oriental
