I THINK we have pinned down CANCUN as our trip for NOVEMBER

where is awesome to stay in Cancun....for fun and a hotel that isnt swarmed with KIDS?
Appreciate all your ideas in advance!

Jill, I know you're looking for something fun...I was in Cancun last year in November and it was pretty dead. Not sure if it was from the economy or what, but when we went out we were the only people at restaurants etc.

At any rate, the JW Marriott is nice.

In all honesty....ALL the islands have been dead lately....ARuba was ODDLY quiet last time i went too,I think its the economy

^^Yeah. Even Maui was kinda quiet when we were there last month. I'd guess that an adults only inclusive would have more going on.

Jill, my fav place to stay in Cancun is the Ritz Carlton. (sorry, can't help you with an all inclusive )

I love isla mujeres but it is 20 minutes from Cancun but quite different.

We stayed at The Royal Cancun for about $2500 for four nights, five days in the month of May. I imagine it should be cheaper in November, plus we had one of the higher upgraded rooms. It is an adults only resort, hence the reason we picked it. It was right across the street from Margaritaville, Outback and Pat O'Briens and about a mile down the road from what I call the "fancy mall." The bus stop to take you downtown was about a mile down the road in the opposite direction. Definitely lots of stuff within walking distance. Taxi ride to downtown was about $10 one way. I can send you some pics of our room and the view if you like.

Have you looked into LeBlanc? We went there last year and it was SO wonderful. Ritz Carlton in Cancun is like any other Ritz Carlton in the states (and not all inclusive) same decor and everything, but Le Blanc was special. It is all inclusive as well and adults only. It got it's 5 diamond status and it is really worth the money albeit it is pricier- but don't forget it is all inclusive and totally worth every dollar. There were beautiful infinity pools, the spa is the best in Cancun- so beautiful and relaxing- and our suite had a gorgeous window overlooking the ocean from the bathtub, not to mention very comfortable beds. I recommend getting the governor's suite and if not that, upgrade to a corner suite which has ocean views all around. I want to go back!! :)

sorry to hear that- you will have to check it out the next time you go then! Wherever you end up, you'll enjoy being on vacation and being on the pretty beaches- I'm jealous :) I hope I get to go again soon too... lucky!!

Omg i love cancun!! Ive been there once and im dying to go back!!!!! Just dont go during spring break!!!!! Too many wild parties!

Are you still going?? Aluxes Privledges in Isla Mujeres has pools on the balcony, I dont know if you are bringing children but they have reasonable suites and the ocean is to die for. I would not go all inclusive on island restaurants all over but I did get breakfast included Im going in Dec but was there in June so If you still go Ill tell you more.

well...we ended up booking in Aruba again..LOL...we leave in 3 weeks..!!!!
Cancun deals werent so good with NONSTOP air..and Aruba was the best deal!Staying at the Radisson this time so that is different
