Default NY, Las Vegas, LA....

So next September I am planning a fortnights (ish) trip to the US.

How would you allocate the time - how long in each place? When in LA I also fancy driving down to Newport beach/laguna, and when in LV a nights stay on a grand canyon trip is planned...

Any things a must see?

Any particular hotels you would recommend?

Thanks in advance!

where do you plan to stay the longest? i think it should depend on what you want to do. is it shopping, sight seeing, relaxing?

i went to the US last december. what i did was i stayed in LA most of the time since i have a friend who lives there. there a lot of places to see in LA like hollywood, universal studios, disneyland, shopping, etc. i liked LA because it's like normal living. not so fast paced and busy like NYC.

i also went to NYC for christmas. there's an outlet there called woodbury i think. you can take those city tours on your 1st or 2nd day so you can see the overview then you can just revisit the places you like the most. they also give tips about the city that are very helpful. that way, you have an idea of your choices of what to do and where to go. there are tours for shows like friends or sex and the city. i took the satc tour. it was fun. we even visited carrie's apartment and steve's bar!

you might also want to go to boston since it's near. or new jersey since shopping is cheap there. boston is lovely and quaint. i loved it.

for vegas, you can stay maybe just 2 or 3 nights? you can go around different hotels because there are a lot of things to see like in wynn, belagio and venetian. there are outlets on the way there too so you might want to stop by :)

hope this helped you :)

oh and when you're in NYC, make sure to see at least 1 broadway play. les miserables is nice but lion king was my favorite! :)

There have been lots of Vegas threads here. I think we are all burned out on talking about it lol.
Maybe cruise through the threads & take a look.
Also Tripadvisor is a great source of info.

You need at least 4 days minimum for LA and vegas I say 2 days and NY 4 days.
