Default A night before you board your plane back home...

do you guys weigh your luggage to see if you guys "just made it"?

do you guys wear all the clothes that you bought when you board the plane so your luggage is lighter?and try and be a smart packer and use every single space you have in your luggage?

OH PLEASE....TELL ME IM NOT ALONE

I just bring my overstuffed suitcase to the baggage check-in and cringe at the weight! I think I have had to pay extra almost every time I have traveled!!!

I used to try and weight it before, but the amount was always off and I ended up paying anyway!

I usually leave with less than what I brought. I always check in hairspray, mousse, shampoo, and conditioner. Whatever I don't use I always throw away at the hotel so that gives me a few extra pounds.

i fly so much that i can tell if my suitcase is too heavy without scales around the 25kg mark it starts to feel heavy for me when i pick it up so i know i need to take something out and move it into my hand luggage if i absolutely need it. that's technically 2kg over BAA's allowed weight for suitcases but i've never been told off over that little.

I know of this guy who wears ALL 10 layers of his shirts and 2 jeans. We all think he's just nutz He doesn't have any check in luggage but 2 carry on bags.

Boy, I've tried to wear extra but I always end up getting uncomfortably hot trekking around the airport.

If I'm nervous about the bag being overweight I find myself a empty desk at the airport and use there scale. If it's to much I put some more in my handbag.

On our last trip, we did weigh our luggage on the last night because it was SO close. We bought a great little portable luggage scale on Amazon. We packed small, heavy items into our carry ons to help make our limit, since they usually don't weigh those.

I've weighed my luggage on my weight scale to make sure it's within 50 lbs but I don't try to wear "extra" clothes on the plane. I would get too hot! I just recently bought the Eagle Creek packing cubes and envelopes and love them!!!! It made my suitcase look so organized when I went on a recent trip!!!! I highly recommend them!!

haha, most trips I shop so the suitcase is heavier on the trip home!

The night before we leave is damage control: We put things in carry on luggage and wear tons of layers to the airport, redistribute the weight around the suitcases so no one bag is too heavy. If you get there early for check in as well, they are more likely to let you just get away with it if you're slightly over the limit

All the extra layers come off once we are on the plane, sit in or on the carry on luggage.

I don't weight my bags, but we just flew AF business class and had to re-arrange the bf's bag because he was over and they cracked down!

I try to if theres a weighing scale ard me. but most of the time I judge it myself. If i can carry my big suitcase in 1 hand, i'm very safe. if it requires two hands but its fairly easy, im safe but i should stop adding stuff on. if with 2 hands, Im panting and grunting, i either start taking stuff out or start preparing some $$ for overweight charges. I haven't gone over before though, just very, very close.
