This May I am graduating and my boyfriend and I would like to go on a trip to celebrate. I have already been to Aruba and Cabo. I wanted to hear opinions of your favorite places to travel. I mostly sit on the beach so activities and attractions aren't that important.

New Caledonia :)
I went there with some friends after graduating, it's beautiful, and everyone is so friendly, there are alot of honeymooners and couples... you can take a small plane to Isle of Pines. thats where we stayed. or stay in Noumea, the capital.. The beaches are great. Fiji is paradise, but expensive... |

Again, I have to recommend Thailand. The beaches are amazing, the water crystal clear and massages and spa treatments are so cheap I try to get at least one every day when I'm there. I particularly like the islands off the east coast (you can easily hire a longtail boat/taxi boat and go find your own secluded beach or lagoon) I love Phi Phi island, it's beautiful and fun!

Bora Bora - I think that it is the ultimate romantic vacation spots. We missed going there on our honeymoon but will make up for it this anni. The avatar is one of the resort in Bora Bora. You literally sleep above the water in the lagoon.

Hawaii... A Carribean cruise... The Bahamas... US Virgin Islands... St Maarten... St Barths...Bermuda
^^^ I've been to all these places w/ my dbf... We're 24 and had a good time. These are generally the more "upscale" and IMHO safer islands. I'm not a fan of the Dominican Republic, Cuba and new to my list Mexico. I work in the travel industry-- too many horror stories. |

I would suggest Bali and / Lombok island in Indonesia if you can be bothered with the distance.
Bali is more commercial but still relatively cheap to western standards... Lots of tourists too. If you want something quieter, Lombok is a great choice.

Maldives off the tip of India. Amazing water and some of the hotels there are soo drop dead gorgeous. That is my ideal place to be proposed to
Not sure how far you actually want to fly since it will be a very very long flight. Turks and Caicos is also lovely. Bahamas is also nice considering the flight is so short.

lanai, hawaii is magical.
you have the beauty of the ocean and dolphins that swim up to the shore (natural dolphins from the ocean) and also the stellar mountains with their fairy tale-like mist and greenery. |
