Default My best packing tip

My most valuable packing tip: use compressor bags for packing.

These are like big baggies but they have one-way air valves. You put clothes into the bag then squeeze out all the air.

They work like those magic storage bags you see on TV where you put blankets into a bag and then use a vacuum cleaner to suck out the air. But you only need to slowly sit upon these clothing-filled bags to expel the air.

Your clothes will wrinkle so pack in undies, socks, nightwear, and knits. Wrap your outer clothes around the stuffed bag for dresses, etc, with no fold lines.

I always take two bags: one for clean clothes, one for dirty. They are only $10 each!

I agree with this. I just bought similar bags and it halved the space in my suitcase!

I'm worried about the wrinkles though.... But I am going to quickly unpack.
