Question FINE DINING in Las Vegas

hello all! the dh and i are planning a trip to vegas in august and we're looking for fine dining restaurants for our anniversary. we've already eaten at OLIVES in Bellagio... it's Todd English's restaurant on the patio over looking the Bellagio water show, we loved it!

i know there are PLENTY of great fine dining restaurants in vegas, so what do you all recommend?

i read up on the Eiffel Tower restaurant on top of the Paris Hotel and Casino... anyone been there?

Depends on what you want to pay.
Do you have an amount in mind?
What type of food do you like? Have you considered Prime or Picasso both at the Bellagio?
Eiffel Tower restaurant has a great view, but I think you can do better on the quality of food.

There's a steakhouse right by the entrance of Palazzo that's pretty yummy. Its french steakhouse so expect to wait a while before ur food comes.

I've heard great things about the steak restaurant in the Four Seasons. We stayed there a few years ago (would also highly reccomend the hotel) but didn't get a chance to eat there ourselves.

I really like the restaurants at Wynn, particularly Alex, SW and Daniel Boulud, I've eaten at those restuarants many times and never been disappointed.
I've had lunch at Okada and Bartolotta, the meals were delicious so I'd imagine they'd be great for dinner too.

Circo, Le Cirque and Prime at the Bellagio are great as well.

Price doesn't matter. The dh and I love trying any fine dining restaurants. I've heard of Picasso from the Bellagio website... thanks for the suggestion and the tip about the Eiffel Tower restaurant, I wouldn't want to be disappointed with the food-- especially for their prices!

I second this- Bartolotta Ristorante Di Mare was fantastic at the Wynn (we went for dinner). If you like italian seafood, you really can't go wrong there.

Another recommendation for Picasso. It's fantastic. I also enjoyed Alex at the Wynn. (I was not thrilled with either the Chinese or the Sushi restaurants at the Wynn.) Tao at the Venetian is fabulous too. If you're into high end sushi, try Shibuya at the MGM Grand - love it.

If you're looking for great steaks and a really nice bar, try the Golden Steer on Sahara, just west of LV Blvd. It's an old Vegas restaurant (and the outside is VERY deceiving, so just go in!); the steaks are the best I've had in town. Everyone I've taken or recommended there loves it. It's an old Rat Pack/John Wayne/Joe DiMaggio hangout.

My other favorite is Panevino (mid-range prices) on Sunset, just east of LV Blvd.

If you are looking for fine dining...you HAVE to go to l'atelier de joel robuchon. It is in the MGM hotel. He is the godfather of french cuisine. But be prepared to drop at least $1000 per couple if you get his chef's tasting menu. Expensive but soooo worth it! Enjoy!

My daughter and I just returned from Las Vegas, and our best meal was at Tao at the Venetian. Wonderful sushi, Kobe beef, and other scrumptious things. I had a small filet mignon with a shell of wasabi/crumbs. OMG - it was so good. I had a martini there that was Asian inspired - yummy! Bouchon at the Venetian is also terrific - Thomas Keller's restaurant. Las Vegas has become a true fine dining experience.

Thanks for the info! The DH said he's heard of joel robuchon so definitely worth checking out! On the MGM website there's the l'atelier de joel robuchon and another one just called joel robuchon and the joel robuchon one says the 6 course tasting menu is $250 per person. is the other $1000/couple tasting menu different?

We're torn between Picasso, Bartolotta Ristorante Di Mare, and the joel robuchon restaurants.

My apologies...I meant Jöel Robuchon...the L'atelier is his bistro restaurant.

Yes, there are 2 tasting menus. One 6 course for $250 and the other tasting menu is $385 for 16 courses. If you can, I suggest you go with the 16 courses. They are small plates so you will be able to finish it. With wine, it is more coz the $385 only includes food. And with taxes and tips, it will be well over $1000 per couple. It is a great experience, you will never have an experience like this in the US, only in France! I was totally in awe of their bread cart! Just the bread cart, they had like 20 different kinds of breads!
