Default Anything fun to do in DALLAS or HOUSTON?

I'm going in a few weeks and I have no idea what to do over there. I went there 2 years ago, and it was pretty boring to me! Please give me some ideas on what to do over there or any fun attractions, malls, etc...

Thanks in advanced!

What kind of stuff are you looking to do? Personally I'd stay away from the Ft. Worth Stockyards no matter how much someone tells you they're fun.

The Dallas Aquarium is pretty awesome. Six Flags is, well, Six Flags. The JFK stuff is good if you like history but unless it's something that really interests you I'd skip it. As for shopping it's all over the place. I know a lot of the high end stores are at the Galleria, outside of that you'd probably have to hit up Willowbend or Stonebriar, which is more in the Plano/Frisco area.

In Dallas, Northpark Mall is a really nice mall and Stonebriar in Frisco is really nice. The restaurants are all wonderful. Grapevine mall is an outlet mall I think..I can't remember how far it is outside Dallas.

In Houston, the Galleria and surrounding area (along Westheimer Rd) has lots of shops and restaurants. Also, there's the Kemah Boardwalk; I've never been there but I've heard (from families) that it's a nice place to go and walk around.

OK! Dallas is great - you can have so much fun there! For shopping, North Park Mall in Dallas proper is an awesome mall. Recently renovated with stores that range from Nordstrom, Niemans, Burberry, Stuart Weitzman, Yurman, Valentino to more regular stores like Macy's and Dillards. The Galleria in North Dallas is also great - it has the LV boutique, another Nordie, a HUGE Banana Republic and tons of other stuff. Outside of the malls, the Highland Park Village is really nice, has a Chanel boutique among many others. The West Village is another area in Uptown that has some cute local shops that stock great stuff and is totaly worth checking out too. The best outlet shopping in North Texas is in Allen, which is about a half hour north of Dallas on 75. There is a Nieman's Last Call, a BCBG, and several nice housewares type shops.

Beyond shopping, the Dallas Aquarium is really fun and should not be missed. The Nasher Sculpture Center is another place you have to go. It is in the arts district right next to downtown and has an amazing sculpture garden that is soo beautiful at night.

There are also so many restaurants that are soo good. Dallas has every type of food you could want but of course Tex-Mex is the big local fare. Monica's Aca y Alla in Deep Ellum is one of my favs, as is Mattito's in uptown, and Luna de Noche is also SUPER!

Well HAVE FUN!! PM me if you have anyother Qs!

Houston, its pretty much big for nothing. But here is a list of things to do anyway:

-Have dinner at the Aquarium in downtown
-Visit NASA
-Visit the musuems
-For nightlife, visit the clubs down Washington Street, midtown, or Rice Village
-For shopping, we have the Galleria. We also have the Premium Outlets and Katy Mills for good deals.
