Celine has the kind of rabid following among both handbag lovers and generalized fashion people alike that allows it to be a little bit secretive when it wants to be. When you have serious hits on your hands like the Luggage Tote and Trapeze Bag, you can do what you want. On top of that, resort and pre-fall collections are notoriously difficult when it comes to accessories information; presentations and shows are much less public than they are in the big spring and fall seasons, and that means that few, if any, detail shots of the collection’s accessories emerge from official sources until much later in the product cycle.
That’s why the Internet is beautiful, though. The incredibly small amount of people who get to go to things like Celine buying appointments or re-sees inevitably has a few Instagrammers or obsessive social media people among it, and from that comes a few pictures every season that let us see what we’re really interested in – the bags.
