I like Gucci ones. I'm not gonna splurge on metallics though.

Here's another one. From an article in the WSJ no less:

Influential retailers from Neiman Marcus to Barneys New York say silver is the biggest color of the season. Luxury goods consultant Robert Burke predicts that looks such as Lambertson Truex's $995 silver handbag will sell well as women feel "the color goes with virtually everything."

I can't say I'm crazy about it, but I haven't seen any IRL.

But even Tod's *GASP* is doing it!

OMG - Tod's! I'm *GASP*ing too! They are never one to jump on a fad. Usually much more classic.

^^Very true, which is why I'm so surprised they are doing it!!

A Tod's trunk show is coming to Honolulu Neiman's next week, so I'm hoping they will have some metallics so I can see how they really look! Who knows, maybe I will be tempted...

Love metallic, but nothing that you can see your own reflection in!

I have a vintage silver purse that I got an estate sale about 12 years ago...a great story how I got it...I received a Nordstrom's summer catalog that had a cute silver purse with a seashell clasp for something like $80...a month later, my friend and I went to this estate sale and we were looking through a big box of stuff in a back room, and lo and behold I found this cute envelope silver purse with a silver chain AND a seashell clasp for only $1.00!!!! I snapped it up in a heartbeat, it was so cool!

I never thought of a handbag causing such trouble. Motorists beware! I adore all metallics - bronze, gold (especially muted) and silver can be so sexy, but mostly for night. Love, love, love Chloe.

Thank you, Christi!

It's a Chloe bag from S/S '04.
