Prada Nylon Bags: Worth the price or over-hyped?

The black Prada Nylon Bag was originally produced in 1985 and became a staple at the house of Prada. Nylon is known for its durable qualities that hold up in all weather conditions. And while it is true that you can clean nylon easily, the prices behind the Prada Nylon Bags continue to grow. What can be so expensive about a material so cheap to buy otherwise? Is it simply the name, Prada? The Prada Nylon Bags continue to be one of the best sold lines of all times, because the initial price point is cheap (relatively speaking).

So as you see the bags above, what do you think about the Nylon line from Prada? Is it worth it to you or far overpriced?

Hmmm , well, in the real world, I'd be more comfortable if the company would bring the prices of each item down $150.00. But then again, how do they do that without removing some of the "cache" of the Prada name?

Way overpriced...I can't pay that much for nylon, it better be leather. I'll pay my $100-something for Longchamp nylon if I need something to hold in all weather etc.

I think Prada's Nylon bags are soo ugly..

I agree--way overpriced! Longchamp and Herve Chapelier both make durable nylon bags for a fraction of the price!

Though I think they are a bit pricey, I do like them. I especially like the first black one and the blue one. I think they are cute casual bags.

I think they are way overpriced too!! Kate Spade purses are nylon and are $300. And they are cuter!

I agree with the ones swearling to lonchamps. Much prettier classier and more classic looking bags. And they're just as durable.

I agree with you all. That's why I never own a Prada bag. For that kind of prices, I rather buy a leather bag.

Actually by now I feel ill when even seeing the Prada or Miu Miu logo. Overpriced and ugly.

I absolutely love my Prada nylon bag. I don't use it as a handbag though. I use it as a dance bag. It's very durable and always looks fresh and crisp.

I don't spend that much on a Nylon bag... I would use the same amount money and get a leather one from MBMJ or something like that...
