linea pelle dylan tote
Linea Pelle Dylan Tote

This post is long overdue. If you surf Purse Forum you will see new designer discussions popping up all the time in the Handbags & Purses section. And one of the brands that people can not get enough of is Linea Pelle. Take the thread with nearly 30,000 page views and 2,000 entries for example, the thread where people are waiting together for their next Linea Pelle Bag to be delivered. Or take the similarly sized thread of people showing off their loot from the Linea Pelle Sample Sale. Yes, there is a following and they will not go unnoticed.

Vlad and I had the pleasure of meeting Andrew Cotton from Linea Pelle back in April. Andrew Cotton is the Vice President and Creative Director at Linea Pelle, which specializes in belts but has made an impact in the handbag world likewise. Andrew Cotton was one of the funniest people I have met in quite some time; we shared the loathe for taking bad photos together and made Vlad take at least 30 pictures of us as we attempted to fix each part of our face to look as good as we know we look in person (no, we did not end up with a finished product that was good and Andrew and I blame it entirely on Vlad). Andrew showed us a few of the Linea Pelle designs and when I asked which bag is considered the iconic go-to bag from Linea Pelle he did not hesitate to say the Linea Pelle Dylan. Here is what Andrew had to say about the Dylan:

This group has become our iconic group for the last year and a half! It’s the bag everyone asks for and buys in multiples! Part of what is so great about these is that the Italian leather takes color well (gorgeously!), they’re lightweight (amazing!) and each season I change up the silhouettes (freshness!). And these are very price friendly! What identifies this group is the oversized domed studs, exposed chunky zippers, and basically the overall styling. But what sets these apart from all the other bags is the fact that all Dylans are special stone and enzyme washed after construction, so each bag is slightly different & unique.

Right now four stunning fall colors are available on Linea Pelle including black, crimson, leaf and whiskey. The bag also features three separate compartments on the inside, an inside zip pocket, and three outside zip pockets. There are other bags available in the Dylan line, but the Dylan tote does it for me! These four colors are available for fall pre-order through Linea Pelle for $595.

Other fun fact: Most recently Lauren Conrad collaborated with Linea Pelle to produce the Lauren Conrad for Linea Pelle line of handbags. And I would be lying if I said that I would not be so thrilled to meet the infamous LC and talk with her about what went into her designs for Linea Pelle and then other highly intelligent conversations, that would not be limited to but include Heidi and Audrina.

I was lucky enough to get some of their bags at their last online sample sale. Their bags are TDF.

I like the colors but not the style, not a zipper person, too many and do not like the shape.

I'm thinking it's too long with too many zippers.

Reminds me of MJ. Looks a bit too long for me. I think it would be nice on a taller lady.

I have 1 LP dylan and love it! BUT these bags just don't do it for me, too long- like I'd never find my wallet in the bottom of it.
