Default L.A.M.B. Charlemagne Hobo
Oh, well, this is very interesting, now isn’t it?

L.A.M.B. bags are often a love-it-or-hate-it proposition, but some of the stuff I’ve seen from them in the past few weeks makes it seem like they’re really starting to get a toehold on their design aesthetic. First, we’ve been talking about one of their much-anticipated Holiday 2010 bags over on BagThatStyle recently, and now we have the L.A.M.B. Charlemagne Hobo that is newly available from ShopBop.

I’m not sure if this bag is from Fall/Winter or Holiday, but I am sure that it’s probably the most appealing L.A.M.B. bag that I’ve ever seen. One can only hope that they continue to soldier bravely on in this direction.

The bag keeps up the brand’s layered, patterned aesthetic by combining strips of supple, smooth leather with grosgrain ribbon insets to create a striped pattern that is still neutral because of its monochromality. Things like this are what L.A.M.B. should have been doing all along in order to attract the biggest customer base possibly while still embracing an interesting, atypical aesthetic, but I’m just glad they’ve finally figured it out. I would be happy to own and carry this handbag. Buy through ShopBop for $495.

Wow! This is probably one of the very first LAMB bags that I actually like!

This is far and away the prettiest LAMB bag that I have ever seen. I love the monochromatic, textured effect.

Ditto! And ditto with most of the above. It's the first LAMB bag I don't hate. Good for them!

I don't hate it, but I wouldn't say I like it either.

This bag is SO much better in person. I tried it on, it fit perfectly! The shoulder strap didn't slip, it has a great slouch, and the style was bad-a$$!!

I'm a huge LAMB fan, and I'm glad that the brand is returning to great designs and not skimping on quality/styling as they have over the last year.

It looks like a nice soft chewy leather that smooshes well. I like it! I wish the shoulder strap was wider to balance the big bulbous body.
