Default Kooba Gabi Hobo
I want a new hobo. No real reason why, I just do. That’s reason enough, isn’t it? While I wish I could simply buy just about any bag I look at, I typically try and give it a bit of thought before any purchase is made. After a bit of consideration, I have to say that I am liking what I am seeing here with this Kooba bag. Per usual, it is the sturdy yet fabulous leather that initially grabbed my attention.

Beyond the leather, I am also loving the old English brass hardware and saddle-stitched buckle accenting. All of these aspects come together for the Kooba Gabi Hobo making it an instant hit. It is also the single flat shoulder strap that adds something unique to the bag. Kooba is great at picking just a few details and working closely on them to ensure that the concept is totally flawless. Speaking of the shoulder strap, the 10″ drop means there is plenty of room for this bag on your shoulder without having it come up too close. And another great thing about this Kooba bag has to be how versatile the bag is. In this case, versatility applies to both one person and her use of the bag as well as the age spectrum that is covered. Mom and daughter alike would look great carrying it. Buy through Bloomingdale’s for $495.

Eh it's okay. Found it kinda plain for my taste though. However, I do love the belt details.

The thing about Kooba for me is that I LOVE the bags in photos, but when I see them in person I'm often disappointed. The leather is different to what I expect based on the photos.

Still, this one gets a from me.

I have to agree with KZ that Kooba bags photograph well but they do not look as good up close and personal!!

I like the style, but Kooba bags have gone down in quality over the past few seasons, so I've abandoned ship!

I disagree that they photograph well and disappoint in person, I think the exact opposite is true for me. In the photos I thought they looked great, but really love them in person and was very impressed. They are often heavy though. Nice hobo, and it does look versatile without looking overtly trendy.

Didn't comment on this one in the past as I don't sometimes with bags that don't look good to me. I will this time. It's quite boring. The belt adds virtually nothing to the bag, and by itself, it's just as fashionable as a car seatbelt with its shape and plain buckle. The bag-handles and body- itself is so plain.

Like it, but find it a bit casual.
