Default Kate Spade Easton as Four Circle Bag

Kate Spade Easton as Four Circle Bag

Little to my mother's knowledge, my dad actually likes modern art, modern homes, just mod style. Wow. Who would have thought that? Trust me, if you knew my dad, you wouldn't. My mom on the other hand loves traditional comfort and coziness. For all the years they have been married, my mom just recently found out from my dad that all the while when she designed and decorated our homes, he actually liked something else. Wow, what a man. So when I spotted this bag I immediately began to wonder if my dad would like it, but my mom would not.

To many of us, Kate Spade manifests itself in clean and sleek designs. The Kate Spade Easton as Four Circle Bag puts the mod in modern. Because I didn't know any of this info, I must let Kate Spade's site explain it to you: "A jewel of the Chesapeake Bay, Easton is known primarily for its abundant waterfowl, Audubon Society wetlands, and, of course, the Easton Decoy Festival, a celebration of America's beloved hunting accoutrement. The bright cotton canvas recalls the marine tradition that is at the heart of this historic bayside town." Yep, I couldn't have told you anything like that in my own words and made it make sense. This bag is completely modern, completely, edgy, and completely chic. I wonder if last weeks challenge on America's Next Top Model could have been made a little more mod with this bag. This circle bag is line with Saratoga Springs print cotton. Available in either orange or hibiscus pink, I would definitely opt for the pink. I believe some of the most fashionable of us could pull this off- the question is do any of you want to? Buy this totally modern bag through Kate Spade for $225.
The Mod squad is in!

Do you think it looks the least bit round once you put stuff in it and sling it over your arm?

And why 'As Four'? Was it designed in cooperation with the design group As Four? Their stuff is pretty weird and edgy....

I think a bag like this probably only looks good on a model in the print ad campaign. It has an appealing shape, but in reality -- with actual things like lipstick and keys -- I don't think it would look as good.

You're right, though, it would have helped the girls on America's Next Top Model. I don't know why, but I am addicted to that show!

IS it structured or is it a big floppy circle of leather that only looks the way it does because someone spread it flat on the floor? I really can't tell....

I that bag! But I would love it more in a different color, say, mustard yellow or bright red.

I never like Kate Spade bags, they are just boring to me, especially for the price. This one is different though - it is certainly eye catching. If you like it you will stare, and if you don't like it you will stare - that is EXACTLY what I go for!

I'd put this bag in the 'Pop Art' class! It is not to be worn but hung on the wall. And oh, it is, of course, my favorite color so I'd buy it anyway.
