Default Jimmy Choo for H&M lookbook released

We had a fairly lively debate a few months ago when the Jimmy Choo for H&M collaboration was announced, and now we’ve finally got a comprehensive look at what the partnership will yield when it hits store shelves November 14.

The collection includes shoes, boots, handbags, jewelry, and a few items of clothing, all done in the slightly 80s glam-punk look that Jimmy Choo has been fond of lately. There are only a few bags, but they’re certainly worth a look. Most of the bags and shoes are real leather, so this is not nearly as bargain basement as a lot of low-end collaborations are. I wouldn’t call myself overly impressed, but rather pleasantly surprised. Most of the collection is genuinely attractive, although the bags are not the high point.

More photos after the jump.

I agree that the bags are not the high point. I'm not that interested. I am much more interested in the shoes.

The black one in the middle is the only one that is remotely cute, and even that one is not that cute.

I don't think I have the energy to camp out for this like people did for the launch of Matthew Williamson this past summer. I read the locations for this and they are very limited. And only the first 160 people can go into the accessories area (bags, jewelry, etc) by time slots before they open it to the public two hours later (what will be left then?) I would have liked some of the stuff though. There is a black bag with studs.

yuck. Looks like something I can find in those Spencer or Hot Topic stores. I was hoping for something much better...

Oh dear...

I think JC succeeds because it is highly glamourous, but luxe; but take the luxe away and you're left with borderline tacky...

The pink clutch looks like a pencil tin for little girls.

Coming to think of it, I might buy one to use as a pencil tin!
