Now here’s an interesting one. A curiosity for the eyes, some would say. It’s the Jack Rabbit The Bandit Studded Leather Crossbody Bag, and, in true Jack Rabbit style, it’s taking what we know, mixing it up, and adding on some sprinkles. In other words, it’s similar to what we know the crossbody to be, but it’s also quite distinctive.

A crossbody is a style I know all too well, and this fits the standard. But it’s crafted in that tiny cube shape that’s common among medium-length over-the-shoulder bags. But this chain strap is not medium-length, it’s long, and it’s meant for you to loop over your head and carry it as a crossbody. The stud detailing is a bit erratic, to be sure, but the multicolor sparkle brings a sense of fun and youthfulness to the bag, because otherwise, let’s face it: that cubed shape all by itself is in danger of being boring.

But this bag is not boring. It’s a bit hipster, but it’s absolutely not boring. It makes you think, “Wait… why aren’t there more studs?” But clearly that’s the point, because by now Jack Rabbit has taken on the job of making sure we don’t get too comfortable with what we know. Buy through Bloomingdale’s for $335.

So far I'm not liking any of their bags. Way too generic and overdone. (Seems like an oxymoron, huh? *L*)

It's nothing spectacular, but not horrible either. I do think the design is too simple to retail at that price though.
