Givenchy Metallic Nightingale

A couple weeks ago I committed a handbag fashion crime; I identified a bad wrong

. Do not do that! It makes the handbag gods angry. The handbag that was ID'd wrong is the stunning Givenchy Nightingale. Little Miss Ashley Olsen was seen sporting a black Givenchy bag. But a very subdued version of the bag has caught my attention, the Givenchy Metallic Nightingale which touts gold metallic leather. This satchel has two leather handles and a detachable shoulder strap, obviously the handbag add-on must have! There is not much to this bag, but it is liked by many for its simplicity and plush leather. Brown and black leather are also available, yet if I were picking one I'd go between this gold metallic with its slight shimmer or the understated black. Which combination has your attention? Pricey yet beautiful via Barneys for $1895.

That's a gorgeous bag. I like those handles and the color is very pretty!

It's a great shape- love the subdued metallic effect.

Beautiful!

My only slight niggle would be the seams, but hey, it's still a stunner!

Of course, I'd get it with the ostrich handles; as ostrich is a by-product.

This one is a medium but was $1895. The smooth leather is $1295. I need a black bag and was told that the solid black with ostrich handles was also $1895. I think I like the large though.

Does this bag come in white and if it did would any of you get it in that color? Does it make any sense to get a large bag in white you think?

On the Barneys site they have it in ivory. I love it personally and if I lived in a different climate I'd probably buy it.
