We're headed to Paris in October, and I plan to make the GD boutique my first stop. I bought two GD bags last year, one is the 24 in light pink, the other is a similar style (but with a strap instead of the drawstrings) in a brown leather and suede combo. These bags are fabulous, and I always get compliments on mine. I suggest Chameleon inserts to help keep your items organized inside. (Large size is perfect for the 24.)

Shoprumor.com has the Midday-Midnight Barcelona and Angelina's crochet bag! I'm seriously considering getting the 24 heures, but there's a BV that I'm super-close to dropping a ton of $$$ on....

Unfamiliar with Gerard Darel, but this bag catches my attention.

I got the "24" several years ago and alternated between it and a Balenciaga City for my books at university in Paris. They are very very durable bags. I've had mine drenched in the rain and it still looks fine. It's not as common anymore in Paris... you still see some girls carrying it, but not as crazy as it was like two years ago.
I really liked the python but the quality of the python scales wasn't great. They were really loose and flakey, but are pretty inexpensive... I don't know how much these bags retail in the US
