I got one of the second batch of paddies ever produced. I hadn't seen her for years until about a week ago. I took her out of her dustbag and wore her to dinner. The love has definitely been rekindled!!!
ESPECIALLY since all the fake producers and wearers have moved on.

I love the Paddington! Yes, the lock and hardware are ridiculously heavy, but it's all part of the package! I admit, I take the lock off when I carry my bag, and I only have baby Paddies, but then, I'm a small bag girl. The Paddington was my first real designer bag love and they hold a special place in my heart. I have 2 babies and I'd really like to add a 3rd one. The bag really is very functional, I just love the outer pockets, and I truly feel that's why the bag is so well loved even 4 years after its introduction.

With the funky design, the Paddington has survived for years. That's something, is it? And yes, I do still love them. Almost all my Chloe bags are on heavy side. Kerala, Edith, Paddy...... the weight is not my no.1 concern, when I buy bags. I like bags built like tanks.

LOVE XXX.
Always wanted one and now I finally got one and I couldn't be happier with it. I'm not sure mine is any heavier than my Bay |

I still love the large ones (Shopper/Buyer's totes)...but I carried mine sans lock. My grail was a dark green one but I never found it. Then YSL and Hermes bit and it was over.
I think the Paddington is a great design..yes on the heavy side but it was so fresh, even the huge lock was fun and sort of cheeky. The earlier gen leather was TDF too. It was one of my 'gateway drug' bags.

I loved them at first, but kind of over them, now. They are just too heavy and impractical.

I still love my paddy with its giant lock and soft leather. I just carried it a few days ago in fact. I find it to be a very comfortable bag, not too heavy since I can wear it on my shoulder.

I have owned 2 Chloe paddington handbags, one med and one larger. Yes, they are heavy to carry but I never actually thought about how heavy they were until I read the posts here on tpf. The style bag is iconic and will always be a classic because everyone carried one. Just like the multi color speedy and the big bal bag craze. I don't think I will be carrying mine anymore though, because I just put mine up on E***. It is an art piece.

Of course
... I still have my blanc paddington that I bought in 2006 and it still takes my breath away whenever I use it! I really love the smooshiness of the leather and that gigantic lock. I never felt the need to get it in another color though, the blanc color is just perfect for me. When I first bought it, the SA said it was 'stunning' ... I still think it's stunning after all these years.
