Default Dior Cannage Slouch Boot

Dior Cannage Slouch Boot

Today I decided it was time to try on boots. We all see boots on the legs of models, celebs, and in the magazines. While I am like every other woman, I still think I am in ok shape (minus the love-handles and UTF - upper thigh fat). One aspect of my body I have always loved is my small hands and feet. Granted my feet are a whopping size 10, but they are petite. Yes, it is an oxymoron, but I swear my feet are petite 10's. So today I had a total fat calf day. I have never had a fat calf day until today trying on boots. I tried on a pair that was loose on my ankle and upon zipping them closed I caught part of my calf fat in them. Nevertheless today was not a great shopping day for me and I never thought that would happen while shoe shopping. Either way I am head over heels in love with the Dior Cannage Slouch Boot. These sexy boots are made of quilted grained leather with tonal cannage pattern embroidery. I am a huge fan of the round toe (being size 10 makes most shoes look incredibly long and ridiculous- but not round toe!). The details to these boots add a subtle touch: the ankle strap with aged brass D charm and loops at the top. The boots are finished off with leather lining, sole, and insole. Size wise, the heel is a bit tall for me (3.5" stiletto heel) but I am still in love with these boots. If I find these boots and try them on and they do not fit over my new calf fat, I will tentatively decide on needing calf lipo. Buy these via eLuxury for $995.

Those boots are absolutely gorgeous! I've dealt with that calf situation but refer to them as muscular! If they don't fit you might want to look at Michael Kors. They make a beautiful pair of suede boots in camel and black, also with a rounded toe, and more of a stacked heel than a stiletto. They fit beautifully and at around $300.00 are priced quite right. Good Luck!

Megs, your calfs are fine the way they are, I'm sure Vlad can vouch for that. These boots were made for women who have 5-10% body fat!...not for the average size lady I'd say.

Love the boots! I have one calf considerably bigger than the other so, I bet one boot would fit while the other would not! I like to use the word "muscular" myself! I wouldn't pay this much for the boots though...living in Texas, we have very short winters if one at all!!!! I wouldn't get to wear them enough for that price.

I love these too and I am having the same problems with boots fitting because of my calves. Funny but I never thought I had fat(muscular) calves until I started to shop for boots this fall. Now I am developing a complex. Designers need to start offering their boots with varying shaft circumferences.

Tall boots are designed only for women with long legs and slender calves. I have short legs, so even though my calves are slim, their curve begins lower than on a "taller" leg. Therefore, there are no tall boots that I can wear, EXCEPT for those with adjustable laces or buckles.

This has made me angry for pretty much my whole life. It shows a staggering lack of imagination or thought on the part of shoe designers.

Oh, no! I have the opposite problem -- the calves tend to be too large on me. Because they don't fit snugly, there's no support, and they'll bum-bada-bum-bum back and forth all day long. I tackle the problem by wearing thick, scrunchy leg warmers underneath. We have various shoe sizes. Why not various calf sizes?

Anyhow, lovely post! I can tell how much you love them. :)

I love these boots and only wish that I could wear boots this high or this luxurious to work; alas, I think I would *die* if I had to teach in those boots for eight hours.

Gosh those boots are awesome but for the price I'd rather buy a bag especially since winter is non-existent here in TX.....
