Oh dear. The devil really is in the details, isn’t it?

Cynthia Rowley is not often a name we look toward for great handbags, and I’m afraid that the Cynthia Rowley Precy Crossbody Bag explains exactly why that is.

Not only is the shiny taupe-ish (they call it “pearl”) color not particularly attractive (it looks like it would be popular amongst the elderly), but the details on this bag are all wrong. The cords that form the bow, drawstring, and strap are all far too thin and, as a result, incredibly cheap-looking. I would expect something like that on an inexpensive mass-market bag, but on something that costs several hundred dollars, it’s a cut corner that I simply cannot abide. Buy through Bloomingdale’s for $298.
