Bottega Veneta Woven Leather Wallet

If you buy a well-made wallet it will last for years. If you are like many people out there, you may think that a wallet over $500 is way over priced. But trust me, many of these expensive wallets are crafted meticulously, with sturdy leather and stitching, to keep the wallet holding its shape for years to come. I still am using my Christian Dior wallet that the lovely Vlad bought me, but I am thinking it is time for a new wallet, just because I need a change (not because I actually need a new wallet). Don't let the lush leather Bottega Veneta uses fool you. Just because the leather is soft and buttery does not mean that their bags and wallets loose shape easily. Bottega Veneta has figured out the perfect implementation of weaving soft leather while keeping the shape of the product as seen on the Bottega Veneta Woven Leather Wallet. A press stud fastening tab opens to reveal the inside; containing a section for notes and cards and a coin pocket. Buy through Net A Porter for $630.

You are so right! I have a brown BV wallet I've been using now for awhile. I like it better than my Chanel Caviar French Purse Wallet. It holds up amazing well and that weaving is just so elegant and stylish. You can even use it as a clutch if you are just running around.

I have a woven black BV wallet and it is wonderful. Goes with everything and feels good to hold! Also I got it on BlueFly at a very good discount.

This wallet style is made of deer skin versus the intrecciato (full weave) ones which are nappa (lambskin). I have this wallet in the french style (shorter version) and the intrecciato one as well. Although deer skin is more sturdy and hence hardier, the lambskin is holding up equally well also. BV is

Ever since I saw the BV woven leather IRL I don't really like it. =/ Apart from that it's an ok basic wallet I guess.

Too expensive for me- a wallet is just something I don't give much thought to.

As much as I love almost everything by BV, I'm not crazy about this one.
